LatexSnap User Guide

Extract formulas from handwriting, screenshots, and PDFs, and organize the results into editable LaTeX.

Quick Start

Three Steps to Convert

  1. Select handwriting, image, or PDF.
  2. Write down the formula or upload your file.
  3. Check the result, copy LaTeX, or download the .tex file.

Handwriting

Handwriting Tips

Write scripts, fractions, and square roots clearly. For complex derivations, recognize them in smaller blocks for easier editing.

Images

Screenshots and Images

Upload images with centered formulas, clean backgrounds, and high contrast. Cropping out unrelated text, headers, and borders yields more stable LaTeX.

PDF

PDF Conversion

Ideal for papers, lecture notes, and question banks. For long documents, we recommend starting with page ranges containing equations and verifying page-by-page.

Quality

How to Improve Accuracy

  • Use clear images and avoid heavy compression.
  • Ensure high contrast between formulas and the background.
  • Recognize one formula or a small group of equations at a time.
  • Verify complex matrices, long derivations, and messy handwriting manually.
